Oriel Davies is a contemporary art gallery in the heart of Wales, showing ground brreaking national and international art and craft.

The display lighting is based on the use of three lighting elements:

• inclusion or exclusion of the high level perimeter natural lighting
• illumination of the perimeter display wall surfaces from flush ceiling mounted fluorescent washlights
• introduction of tungsten halogen lighting from a range of washlights and spotlights used in a grid of multi-circuit ceiling mounted lighting track.

All of the luminaires in the gallery can be varied in output level either from a remote dimmer control system or dimmable transformers within the luminaire.
