The new home for Arad Goch opened its doors to the public at its renovated Bath Street Premises on 4th July 2008 following a ceremony led by Welsh Assembly Minister Elin Jones.
ACT provided specialist auditorium design and specification for:
- A theatre studio space for both rehearsal and performance capable of seating an audience of 70 adults on retractable seating and a further 30 on loose seats.
- A rehearsal studio, slightly small than the main studio, which will be used by for theatre workshops, rehearsals and youth projects.
- Technical support spaces including control room, storage and workshop spaces and changing rooms.
- A video-editing suite.
- New front of house facilities including a plasma screen display to the Bath Street elevation.
The audio-visual provision in the various spaces included Yamaha 01V96 V2 digital mixing desks; EM Acoustics EMS-152 loudspeakers, Zero 88 Frog-2 lighting console and Chilli dimmers, with a mixture of ETC and Selecon luminaires.
